-GAFTA/PAFTA The Greater Pan-Arab Free Trade Area WHO and WHEN: The FDA was declared within the Social and Economic Council of the Arab League as an executive program to activate the Trade Facilitation and Development Agreement, between ALGERIA, BAHARIAN, EGYPT, IRAQ, KUWAIT, LEBANON, LIBYA, MOROCCO, OMAN, PALESTINE, QATAR, SAUDITI ARABIA, SUDAN, SYRIA, TUNISIA, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, YEMEN and EGYPT WHAT: Member states were asked to produce specific commitments regarding elimination of tariffs, nontariff measures, and rules of origin. The FTA applies to all products as follows: - Agricultural and animal products, whether in their raw or processed form -Industrial products from HS and forsees -Removal of all non-trade barriers (administrative, quotas, and monetary) -The possibility of exempting a number of industrial products from the Execution Program of GAFTA
